Introducing reflections in an image can add drama, atmosphere, and a beautiful artistic effect.
Sometimes photographers overlook the opportunity to capture an image including a reflection as they concentrate only on the subject. They therefore may miss the opportunity to add character to the photograph and to raise the image to the next level.
When faced with subjects alongside still water and where there is little or no movement, you will usually have some time to compose your image well. Inclusion of the whole reflection is important, and you may need to change position, or raise or lower your perspective to capture the optimum image.
